Cape Fear OSMS is proceeding with our “Adopt-an-Educator” campaign to provide care kits to educators who will have direct contact with students.

The care kit we envision will include:

  • 2 cloth masks
  • A face shield
  • An ear saver
  • A bottle of hand sanitizer
  • A box of single-use face masks for emergencies

What’s with the not wearing masks???

We are not defenseless against COVID-19,Cloth face coverings are one of the most powerful weapons we have to slow and stop the spread of the virus – particularly when used universally within a community setting. All Americans have a responsibility to protect themselves, their families, and their communities

said CDC Director Dr. Robert R. Redfield, July 14, 2020

If someone told you your chance of getting cancer would be cut by 50% by wearing a mask, wouldn’t you wear one? Why is it so difficult for people to not wear it for a little while when not able to social distance? If you don’t want to do it for me, your child, your mom/dad, your grandparents, your cousin, or even yourself, do it for the healthcare workers. The healthcare workers have been working non-stop to take care of Covid patients for months. Some don’t get to see their families for weeks all because there are people who refuse to do the right thing.

The CDC director has said we can get rid of this virus if EVERYONE just wore a mask for 6 weeks. SIX WEEKS. The virus would have nowhere to go if everyone just did your part.

Mask wearing is caring! Just do it.
